On Tuesday’s episode of VIGILANCE HOUR on Aseda Lutheran radio on hosted by Emelia Darlington, touched on the topic “Depression and its effects”.
Speaking on Aseda Lutheran Radio on Tuesday (21st January, 2020), the Ace Broadcaster encouraged her listeners to seek refuge in Jesus Christ in case of any problems beyond their control.
Effects of depression
She also advised that we should not seek peace in the world; but rather, seek peace in Jesus Christ. “Desist from anything that will give you unnecessary pressure in life that will lead you away from Jesus Christ. Because Jesus Christ is the final answer. Be content with what you have so that you don’t fall into temptation.” She added.
Sadness, feeling down, and having a loss of interest or pleasure in daily activities are familiar feelings for all of us. But if they persist and affect our lives substantially, the issue may be depression.
According to Emelia Darlington, ‘fear’ can cause depression. The fear of not doing things or not being able to afford something can cause severe depression and its effects; if care is not taken.
Furthermore, she lamented that ‘worrying’ is also another factor that causes depression. Envyness; according to Emelia, leads to Evilness.
Worrying not; if you cannot take care of school fees, rent, living a luxurious life. According to Emelia, just work hard, and focus on Jesus Christ. Because IN HIM IS LIFE. Jesus Christ is the only one who can heal us from depression and its effects.
In conclusion, Emelia advised that “life is all about patience and trust no one. Only focus on Jesus Christ”.
