The Ministry had rural outreach in partnership with St. Mark Lutheran Church, Wassa Essaman in the Western Region. Wassa Essaman is a town in the Wassae East District of the Western Region. The district has a population of about 99,641. The major livelihoods are farming and hunting. The dominant plantation is plantain. The Ministry’s quest to reach out to the community was to help revive the church which faced dwindling members after the church building collapsed. Church service is currently being held under a temporary put-up structure until a new one is completed.
“Again I will build you and you will be rebuilt, O virgin of Israel! Again you will take up your tambourines. And go forth to the dances of the merrymakers.
Again I will build you and you will be rebuilt
On 17th February, Equipping to Share (ETS) training was organized for 15 members of the church. In the evening a movie with the title “After the rapture” was organised for the community. The next day another film show event was organised for the community. Both events recorded over 500 people. On Sunday 19th February team worshipped with the church and returned the same day.
Those from among you will rebuild the ancient ruins; You will raise up the age-old foundations; And you will be called the repairer of the breach, The restorer of the streets in which to dwell.
All 15 ETS participants were taken through basic evangelism teaching l. Each received a certificate and copies of our Gospel outreach booklet. There was a course “An introduction to the spiritual conversation of the church” to enlighten them about how to share the word of God.
