As Christians we always use the quote “IT IS FINISHED” but how deep do we understand this statement? Many of us read the scriptures in John 19:30, telling us about how Jesus gave up the ghost after making that utterance, but what exactly was He trying to tell us? Colossians 2:14, tells us how He blotted out the handwriting of ordinance that was against us, taking it out of the way and nailing it to His cross, the preceding verse 13 also makes us aware how we have being dead in our sins, He quickened together with Him forgiving us all our trespasses. What guilt has been weighing you down over the years? He said “IT IS FINISHED” He took all our burden, pain, guilt, sin and all others with Him when He was nailed on the cross, He was crucified with all of the negatives that makes us feel bad and sinful but on the third day, He resurrected alone without them, GLORY. Forgive yourself, pray and ask for forgiveness, mercy and the grace of God, cast all your burdens and leave it to Him for we are no longer slaves to sin. GLORY.
