By faith, I will win VGMA artiste of the Year – Piesie Esther

Celebrated gospel musician Piesie Esther has on her faith revealed that she is likely to pick up the plaque for VGMA artiste of the year.

The ‘Waye me yie’ hitmaker bagged seven nominations at this year’s VGMA event including the ultimate of the night.

Piesie is however optimistic that her hard work over the period is deserving of the ultimate award on the night.

In a discussion on UTV’s showbiz, she believes her faith will carry her through the night as the ultimate, however, she will still be grateful should she not win any awards on the day.

“I believe and have faith that I will pick up the ultimate award, however, if I don’t pick any awards, I will still be grateful to God for at least getting the recognition”

“It will hurt if I don’t win an award but I’m hopeful things will turn out good in the end”

Piesie Esther, who is competing against Joe Mettle, Perez Muzik, Diana Hamilton, Celestine Donkor, and MOG Music for the “Best Gospel Artiste,” says she does not view the award as a chance to rub shoulders with anyone in particular but rather as a chance for all of her competitors in that category to be recognised for their work.
The W’aye Me Yie singer said:  “l am not terrified seeing them nominated for the same category as me because we are brothers and sisters doing the work of God.”

Piesie Esther, who has received seven nominations for this year’s VGMA, is confident that she will succeed and believes her nominations are God’s will.

She believes that even if she doesn’t win in every category for which she has been nominated, she is still a winner since the nomination itself proves that the twenty years of work she has put in were worth the shot.

May God help her and we wish her all the best
