I want to be a doctor when I grow up, ops, I was offered general arts in secondary school, ok, I will become lawyer then. Banking and finance at the university? Ok then, I will become a banker finally, I will have to work in the bank after graduation. Fast forward, finally out of the university and completed service. Real life starts to hit us and reveal lot of things we didn’t know especially after the crave for independence begins. The rent we have to pay, the water and utility bills, food, clothing and maintenance just to mention a few, all these things to cater for but with no form of employment. This is what our country looks like today.

Many of us roam the streets day and night searching for any job opportunity just to put something in our pockets but to no avail. We recent read a lot of stories on social media about young and abled people committing suicide or using others for money rituals, not to talk about the masses of young beautiful ladies trading themselves just to cater for their needs, nudes flying all over just for money and fame. Sometimes we give up but the next minute we pick up ourselves and hit the road searching for opportunities we can just grab and make it for ourselves after acquiring the knowledge and skills we need. People say, why don’t you start something on your own? Why don’t you set up a business for yourself and make it work? But again I ask, how possible and feasible is that with no income or capital to start with? Yes, people started and succeeded and we believe we can too, but all we ask is an enabling environment to make ourselves better. To all of us struggling one way or the other to make ends meet, I pray the Lord meets us at our point of needs and supplies all we ask and seek. We all will be fine, it is just a matter of time, let us hold on and never let go of our dreams and we will also succeed to tell our stories. God help us
