3 SHS Students Arrested For Robbery

Three final year students of Opoku Ware Senior High School have been arrested after they attempted to rob a taxi driver in Kumasi.

According to JoyNews report Aseda Radio News has sighted, the students aged between 17 and 19years wanted to snatch a taxi cab from its driver on Friday night.

The suspects ordered the services of the taxi driver from Santasi to the Lancaster Kumasi City (formerly Golden Tulip Hotel) in the Nhyiaeso area.

When they arrived at the Rattray Park area, the three suspects commanded the driver to hand over the car keys to them or risk being stabbed to death.

The driver resisted their demand. They struggled with him.

The vehicle veered off the road and hit a wall. People nearby rushed to the scene to assist the taxi driver.

Two of the students were arrested at the accident scene and handed over to the Police. The third suspect was later arrested from his hideout.

“As the scripture teaches, `Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.’ (Prov. 22:6.)

Let us try to inculcate the fear of God in to our children right from their childhood to make sure they do not indulge in social vices
