When we consider God’s actions, it empowers us to live hopefully—no matter what the future may bring. Look to the Bible and see how God rescues His people from bondage, leads them into freedom, and promises them life and salvation in His Name.

“Strive to excel in building up the church. In church I would rather speak five words with my mind in order to instruct others, than ten thousand words in a tongue.”

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, putting darkness for light and light for darkness, … they have rejected the Law of the LORD of hosts, and have despised the Word of the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 5:20a, 24b).

For the sake of His holy Name, to show Himself holy and blameless, God would gather His people and cleanse them from their sins through His self-giving sacrifice.

Stop looking down on people and sit at table with them as a forgiven sinner not better than the next guy. Jesus offers forgiveness and healing and friendship.

When we are not lovable, Jesus loves us. He forgives, helps and strengthens us. Jesus makes us His own people and has promised to give us everlasting life, just as He Himself has risen from the dead.

When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.
