We too can “bring Jesus home” to our own lives—be it broken, messy, wicked—so much the better! Jesus will get right to work cleaning, renewing, loving, saving. Never be afraid to bring Jesus home!

He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with His wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

O Lord, You saw our suffering, and came to us. You set us free at the price of Your own life, and You brought us safely into Your kingdom. I come to give You thanks with my whole heart. I am Yours forevermore.”

Angels are “ministering spirits” which guard believers. Although we may be fascinated by these mighty beings, we must never worship them. (see Revelation 19:10)

Jesus’ biography offers an exodus out of self-centered smallness toward greatness on God’s terms.To be great: is losing yourself in Jesus, and finding yourself, welcomed at His side like that child He mentioned. And in His Name, welcoming other little ones there as well

We will certainly stumble, just as His first disciples did. But Jesus still calls us, He wants us, and loves us. As His witnesses, more people come to trust in Him.

We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 3:7-8, 13; 4:15-16)

How great and glorious God’s Law is, it’s never going to get us into God’s kingdom. We will never obey the Law perfectly. We need help. Who can bring us into God’s kingdom?

Every year the high priest entered that holy place carrying blood to atone for the sins of the people.
Those temple sacrifices foreshadowed the time when God’s promises would be fulfilled in a single sacrifice for the sins of the world.
