“The kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind” (Matthew 13:47). He called His first disciples to fish for people, to cast the Gospel net and, by the power of the Spirit, gather people into the kingdom of God.

The shrub can reach eight feet tall or more. Its appeal is in its fire-engine red foliage every fall. It blazes over every other planting on our landscape, demanding attention and wowing its onlookers by its beauty.

We have done nothing—He has done everything. And so we will inherit the earth because of Jesus—yes, and forgiveness, joy, and new life forever as the people of God.

The Holy Spirit can plant faith in their hearts as well, making them children of God and our brothers and sisters—one blessed family, growing in love and care for the world.

The Lord who takes pleasure in His people “adorns the humble with salvation.” We can do nothing to save ourselves. No good works, no efforts of our own, could ever be sufficient to establish for ourselves a right relationship with God.

Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Jesus says to them, “If you abide in My Word, you are truly My disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” But they’re offended by His Word

You know what happened next. Out of the dirty clothes and into the bathtub! Because looking in the mirror any longer wouldn’t solve anything. Only soap and water could make you clean.
