“Come, Lord Jesus”
God shall arise, His enemies shall be scattered; and those who hate Him shall flee before Him! As smoke is driven away, so you shall drive them away; as wax melts before fire, so the wicked shall perish before God! But the righteous shall be glad; they shall exult before God; they shall be jubilant with joy!
Friends: Research has shown that more than 260 million Christians in 50 countries are suffering different degrees of persecution. Every year, thousands of Christians die through persecutions: many more Christians are imprisoned… they lose their churches and their homes; others lose their jobs.
Friends; don’t be surprised that all these things are happening:
They further confirm what Jesus said about His followers…..
(With reference to John 15:18) Jesus promised us that we would be hated as He was hated).
Due to the aforementioned; in our human sufferings, we join our voices to the writer of (Psalm 13:1a)., saying “How long, O LORD?” shall this be!
Friends… are you afraid of current circumstances surrounding you?
Well to assure you: The day is coming when “God shall arise” and “His enemies shall be scattered.”
The circumstances facing you will not continue forever…. They shall pass away…. Halleluiah!
Don’t let your hearts be troubled; because of your sufferings and challenges due to COVID-19, CSM, Malaria and other forms of diseases… no matter the challenge you might be facing…. Believe that one day.. all shall pass!…. COVID-19 too shall Pass! In Jesus name.
Friends: that day will surely come! There was a time when God arose in power and majesty and scattered His enemies. In those days, His mighty power was covered in human flesh and hidden in weakness and suffering.
Jesus our Savior, who is a true God and a true Man, was rejected and betrayed by those He came to save. They condemned Him to death.
Jesus came
God, through the weakness and suffering of Jesus’ death on the cross, destroyed Satan’s power and saved us from the fear of death (I am making reference to Hebrews 2:14-15).
Surely: On the third day after His death, Jesus the Son of God arose in bodily from the grave, He triumphantly scattered His enemies—the enemies of Jesus are our enemies—our enemies are sin, death, and Satan.
Not too long after Jesus ascended to heaven, the persecution against His followers began.
The world, with hatred for what Jesus had foretold, began persecuting His church; such assault had continued till today… but that will not last…..
Jesus said this about the church in (Matthew 16:18b).., “The gates of hell shall not prevail against it”
Truly, one day, all forms of persecution will end…. Christians the world over should continue to witness about Jesus, and pray that the Holy Spirit would convert our persecutors will come to faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior…. Hallelujah!
Surely; Jesus on the last day will return in glory as Judge and King…, and His enemies will scatter—with nowhere to run. Those who hated Jesus and rejected Him as Lord will flee before His presence.
On that day; Death our strongest enemy, will be destroyed….. Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit will raise us up bodily from the graves and dressed in immortality (I am making reference to 1 Corinthians 15:26, 53).
On that day, unlike Jesus enemies; we will be glad and celebrate before God. We will be rejoicing! He will welcome us home, and we will live with Him and His Holy Angels forever! We shall live an everlasting life without sickness such as COVID-19…CSM, EBOLA…nor any form of suffering… no financial challenges…. No more death! Come, Lord Jesus in your glory!… Amen!
PRAYER:
Lord Jesus, you are the Good Shepherd, You promised us that no one will snatch Your sheep from Your hand. With Your Word … Comfort us O Lord! With Your body and blood, nourish and sustain Your suffering church until You return….. In Your glory…Come quickly, Lord Jesus!
